Turning her focus to business and financial news she became a producer of the popular TV show MarketWatch Weekend on CBS, helped launch the first video platform on WSJ.com and developed series on CNBC Business News like Power & Money on private equity. As a contributing guest and broadcast editor representing The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones at CNBC, she positioned hundreds of stories for live programming on breaking news, investment banking, hedge funds, venture capital and private equity. As a new media executive and entrepreneur, an internationally recognized broadcast journalist and producer, and a best selling author, she has dedicated her career to raising awareness on the global issues impacting our world today. Seeking stories of hope and positive change in challenging environments is part of her DNA from urban hot-spots like New York and war ridden Baghdad to the rain forests of Ecuador.

She landed exclusives with Christine Lagarde on the future of the IMF, and Google’s Sergey Brin on his early experience of Google maps. She invested her time in connecting with the leading innovative voices of our time in business and philanthropy like Richard Branson, Boone Pickens and Doris Buffett. She has also had sit down interviews during her career with Michael Milken, Romero Britto, Rory Kennedy and written with famed economist Nouriel Roubini. She represented Forbes multiple times at The World Economic Forum in Davos and The Clinton Global Initiative.
Inspired to focus on the education of women on their growing wealth and power, in 2010 she joined forces with Pepper International’s Carol Pepper to write the award winning best -seller The Seven Pearls of Financial Wisdom. ForbesWoman gave her a column to focus on Work in Progress and her stories garnered as many as 20,000 views. After the book’s publication, Camilla was an invited guest at The White House in appreciation of her contribution to empowering women in America. She was asked to participate in the first White House Tweetup Briefing in history with Press Secretary Jay Carney on The American Jobs Act.
Camilla has been interviewed over 40 times on TV and radio on women and business in the media, including on NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business, Yahoo Finance, Levo League, The Street and The Wall Street Journal. She has been the keynote speaker for important women’s events for The Womens’ Fund of Milwaukee and The Madison Chamber of Commerce. Camilla has long been a popular moderator for important government and private organizations like London and Partners and the UN GAID Conference.
In April 2015, Camilla was one of the main speakers and presenters at the first TEDx conference on Accelerators called TEDxNavesink, alongside luminaries like Esther Dyson and Lou Kerner. Her talk and vision on the world “In Front of You” was praised by Yahoo and Monmouth University’s publications. She served as a supporting curator and the MC for TEDxNewWallStreet, reimagining Wall Street in the information age at The Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley at a key time for the banking industry.
Noting the future meteoric shift of global populations to urban areas, Camilla co-founded New York Natives LLC and NewYorkNatives.com in 2011 to take on the challenge of creating a platform for a curated experience of city life from multiple authentic perspectives that could be replicated globally. She developed a small hyper local indie blog into a revenue generating, media business with a full time staff, multi-million dollar valuation, funding and a global expansion plan. New York Natives is now a member of the British American Business Council. The company has produced campaigns for governments and media giants like CBS needing a voice that reaches urban demographic.
Camilla has become a member of the UN NGO Committee on Sustainable Development and The Helena Group. Camilla is also a member of New York Women in Film and Television. Camilla was appointed “Entrepreneur in Residence” for TrepCamp in June 2016 through MUSEIC (the Mexico-US Entrepreneurship and Innovation Council) to train fifty young budding Mexican entrepreneurs.
On a personal note, Camilla started her life at the United Nations preschool in New York City and from a very young age felt her mission was to make the world a better place. Through her work as an international journalist and entrepreneur she recognized it is only through business and innovation that we can solve the world’s problems in a long term sustainable way. She was educated at The Brearley School for girls in New York City and received her Honors MA and BA from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
