Why I wrote The Seven Pearls of Financial Wisdom
As the anchor of Forbes, I had the chance to see trends emerge in the markets and in the financial arena. Study after study hit my desk with news a massive wealth transfer to women would be arriving in the next twenty years and it would be in the billions.
Two years after the Wall Street crash of 2008 I saw the rise of the Sheconomy – women out-earning their partners, women serving as the main breadwinner at home, women purchasing 80% of items in the home. I knew full well many of these women were shattering glass ceiling and heading into unchartered territory. Their power and influence was changing overnight in every area of their life, but did they have the training to make this a long term success financially, emotionally at home and in society?
I realized by 2010 I had amassed some incredible experience and relationships in the sphere of business. I was keen to make a social impact on the world and realized a book of wisdom , a guide that women could turn to in this incredible ground breaking series of events was really the best contribution I could make to our society in a large way.
The Seven Pearls of Financial Wisdom: A Guide to Enjoying Wealth and Power was born because women really needed it and I had the gift of sourcing over 60 female experts with my co-author Carol Pepper to make sure we provided the best information available alongside our own expertise.
We have spoken to thousands of women face to face in order to inspire women everywhere to take action in finance in their romance, business, motherhood, retirement, regeneration and legacy.
The Seven Pearls became a best seller, won the Library Journal’s “Best Business Books of 2012” Award and received accolades from The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post and more.
I’m ready to write the next tome so email me to share what you’d love to read about next!
